My passion for health and fitness began while I was in college playing D2 softball at Ferris State University. After graduating I continued playing softball and participating in various fitness programs. It wasn’t until 2012 when I tried my first CrossFit class that I knew I found the perfect program. The workouts and community were unlike anything I had ever experienced. At that time I was into running and CrossFit helped me to PR all of my race distances as well as several podium finishes. I also contribute the CrossFit methodology in allowing me to continue to play fast pitch softball to the age of 50.
After a few years I fell in love with the sport of CrossFit and started competing. The past three years, I have had CrossFit Open finishes that qualified me to move on to the Age Group Qualifiers. My biggest accomplishment was placing 2nd in the women’s 50-54 RX division at the 2022 CrossFit Masters Fitness Championship.
